Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, operated by Centre Region Parks & Recreation (c/o Centre Regional Recreation Authority), is a 62-acre site consisting of a 12-acre farmstead area (with a large bank barn, farmhouse, and several outbuildings), plus an adjacent 50-acre wetland area. The 50-acre wetland area also hosts a Conservation Easement between Penn State and ClearWater Conservancy of Central PA. Formerly known as "Farm 12," the tract was leased on a longterm basis from Penn State University starting in 1997 for $1/year. The center provides an opportunity to present to Centre Region residents three important themes from the site: environmental, agricultural, and historical. The center is pleased to host many groups (all group visits must be scheduled in advance).
