-The COG Ad Hoc Regional Park Committee: Roy Harpster & Ron Woodhead

The committee completed work on (1) COG Articles of Agreement for the Planning, Development & Operation of Regional Parks, (2) The Ownership Agreement for Whitehall Road Parklands, and (3) the Development Lease to permit COG to plan and develop the Oak Hall Parklands. Those documents are now being reviewed by each municipality and will then come back for General Forum action (the committee held their June meeting at Park Forest Pool Pavilion). The committee has now been charged with recommending one of the options for Park Forest Pool to the General Forum, which will be discussed in detail at their next meeting on Th 20 Jul 06, 12:15PM at COG Building Forum Room.

• Phone complaint regarding the Daily Admission No-Refund Policy at the pools.

VIII.  OLD BUSINESS

• State College Lions Youth Football requested storage at Haymarket Park. The group has been asked to provide a written proposal using the guidelines discussed in June.

          • Request from a commercial caterer for vehicle access to reserved picnic pavilions.  Letter from Harris Twp. Manager (to add to the 2 municipal letters from June).         (Attachment # 6)

          • State announcements on pending grant applications:(grant amount requested)

IX.     NEW BUSINESS (from May agenda)

          • CRRA 2005 Audit Report by Maher Duesell (CPA)          (Attachment # 8) 

          • 2007 Budget Process:

                    - 2007 Program Plan (Draft sent out earlier, which was then revised)

                    - 2007 Detailed Budget       (To be developed over the next 60 days)

          • New Facility Requests for 2007:

                    - Add Nittany View Park Pavilion in Harris Twp. to the reservation system

                    - Add facilities adjoining Tudek Park in Ferguson Twp. (Attachment # 9)

                              Board action on this request will be scheduled for the August meeting.
