CRPR oversees the operation of the community garden plots that were established in 2005 at Tudek Park as a result of the efforts of Mr. Joe Banks, the Tom Tudek Memorial Trust and Ferguson Township.
The garden plots officially opened for 2008 on Sat. 12 Apr 08. All plots have been marked and numbered and the water spigot is now active (for gardener use with buckets ONLY; hoses are strictly prohibited). The 2008 gardening season will officially end on 30 Nov 08. All gardeners are asked to clear their plots and ensure their plots were ready for winter. Please note that permit holders are not permitted to sublet or transfer their plot to new gardener.
NOTE: In order to control costs, delivered garden mulch is very limited. As a result, individual gardeners are responsible for furnishing their own mulch for their own plot. Please do not use the hay or straw that is near the barn, since this is owned by the house tenant for the horses there.
For 2008, the CRPR Board previously established the following plot rates (for 102 total plots):
• 42 single-plots (300 sq. ft.) @
$20 rent / year
• 60 double-plots (600 sq. ft.) @
$30 rent / year
PLUS a Security Deposit equal to the
annual rent amount (for each plot rented).

With proper maintenance and plot clean-up, the 2008 Security Deposit will be available after 30 Nov 08 for (1) full refund or (2) credit towards 2009 garden plot fees. The Security Deposit will be forfeited in full (without refund or credit) if the plot is not maintained and cleaned up as specified in the Garden Plot Agreement. The applicant agrees to abide by all of the
regulations as noted on the Garden Plot Agreement and understands that the seasonal plot permit may be terminated at
any time for violation of that Agreement.
