Be Heart Smart
I came here today to talk about the heart,
In hope that you will do your part,
Eat right, exercise, reduce your stress,
So heart disease will be much less.
Eat dark chocolate, drink green tea,
And maybe you won’t ever have to see me.
But if you do and your heart is broke,
You might be advised not to smoke.
Lose weight and eat less fat,
That’s good advice you can put in your hat.
Eggs are in, coffee is out,
What’s this all about!
Can’t I have something sweet,
Maybe a cookie as my treat.
What I must make you all see,
Is that moderation is the Key!
So let’s get together and do our part,
And take care of that muscle known as your heart!
~ Nadine Greco, Cardiac Rehab, Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pa.
