With regard to non-resident services during the 12-month period,
86 of the program visits were by non-residents and 1 of the meals
was to a non-resident. The non-residents are not
included in the counts shown above, and are not included
in the funding formula calculations. Those individuals may have
been Centre County residents. Detailed counts by month are available
upon request.
Not all programs occur at the center. Of the 26,642 program
visits (by residents and nonresidents), 16,115 (60%) were at
the senior center and 10,527 were at off-site locations. The “meal
count” continued to decrease (by 2%) as the “program
visits” increased (by 4.7%). The increased program visits
are due to expanded senior center & CALL programs, PC Learning
Lab programs, and the State College Senior Social Club that meets
at the senior center - we are thankful that the expansion / renovation
was approved - and underway during the first 5 months of 2004.
