RE: Centre Region Senior Center - 2008 COG Funding Formula
Senior Center Director Barbara Lindenbaum has provided the following Program
Attendance Figures which are used to calculate the municipal funding shares for 2008 at the Centre Region Senior Center. This will be the
9th year where “program visits” are used to determine COG funding shares rather than “noontime meals served.”

205 of the program visits were by nonresidents of the Centre Region during the 12-month period. These visits are shown in the totals
above, but are not part of the local share calculations (on the front).
The “Program Visits” increased by 1,546 (+ 5.2 %) while the “Meal Count” increased by 41 (+ 1%). Of course, not all programs occur
at the center. Of the 31,292 program visits (by residents and nonresidents), 19,088 (61%) were at the senior center and 12,204 were at off-site
locations. The increased program visits are due to expanded Senior Center and PC Learning Lab programs and the cooperative programs with
the Community Academy of Lifelong Learning (CALL), for those classes held in the Centre Region only. Detailed counts by month are
available upon request.
