 CRPR “KIDS-ON-WHEELS PARADE" “A Centre Region Tradition”
Saturday, July 4, 2009, 9:30 AM line up / Step off at 10AM. Hey Kids! Show your patriotism and be part of the annual “CRPR Kids-on-Wheels” Parade. Bring your bike, wagon, scooter, stroller or skateboard and meet us at the corner of Foster Avenue and Locust Lane. The parade will end at Central Parklet where we will celebrate our nation’s birthday by singing “Happy Birthday to US” and eating watermelon. FREE!

 2009 BIKE-IN MOVIE SERIES
(A FREE and GREEN Alternative to the Drive-In)
Bike or walk to one of these local parks to catch an outdoor movie shown on an inflatable screen. This environmentally-friendly event is a wonderful way to spend a summer evening and is easily accessible from a bike path. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and enjoy this summer event presented by Centre Region Parks & Recreation, the Centre Region Bike Coalition (CRBC), Freeze Thaw Cycles Inc. and Videon Central, Inc. The events are free, but donations to CRPR & CRBC are accepted. (P.S. Please make this a safe experience and don’t forget your bike light!)

CRPR Halloween Costume Parade |
 The 64th Annual Centre Region Halloween Costume Parade
is scheduled for MONDAY, 26 Oct 09, 6:30 PM line-up / 7:00 PM step-off. Approximately 1,500 attend this event each year!
A FREE fall family tradition! Centre Region Parks & Recreation and
the State College Lions Club will again cosponsor the parade through downtown State College. Costume judging will take place at Memorial Field by the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. Treats will be provided by the S.C. Lions
Club for the following costume categories: • Halloween Tiny Tots (ages 2 & under) • Cartoon Characters • Witches & Monsters • Fairy Tale Characters • Ghosts & Goblins • TV / Movie Characters • Animals on Parade • Halloween Twosome • Groups (3 or more) • Open Class.
