Nationwide Criminal Background Checks, Social Security Number Verification and Child Abuse Clearances
are required for staff & volunteers.

CRPR 2008 Girl's Softball League
For grades 3-5 and grades 8-12
       "Everyone Plays!"

The CRPR Girl's Softball League will operate April through early-June. Each team will play one or two games per week (10-12 games per season) plus practices. Come out and see what the fun is all about! Parents are needed to help coach their daughter's team. An effort is made to place players on teams by school/neighborhoods. Regular registration was open through March 21.

GRADES 3-5        The age group will proceed with 4 teams and add any new registrants to teams where spots are available.  The various coaches will be meeting Monday evening, 14 Apr 08. They will then contact each player on their team with respect to a practice schedule. The game schedules are posted HERE on the CRPR Active.com website.

GRADES 6-8        This age group has been canceled due to insufficient registrations.  As a result, 8th graders may register for the 9th-12th grade level.  Full refunds will be provided. 8th graders may optionally transfer to the older league.  Please see info. below.

T-shirt & school information: On the registration form, please indicate the player's t-shirt size and their school name. Equipment Needed: Each player should furnish a softball glove.

Ralleyball Team Tennis - Spring 2008 Grades 1-8

Join in the FUN and Get in the Game - Everyone Plays! Participation on a Youth Tennis Team in the USA Team Tennis Ralleyball Format will provide a safe, healthy activity in a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Teams are now being formed in the following age divisions: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8. Teams will have a practice each week where skills will be taught by their Coach, and will compete in a match within their age division. Students will be placed with other students from their school. Players will be given a T-shirt. All play, practice and match time, is on Saturday mornings in 1 ½ hour time slots. If needed, racquets are free for use during the season!

"Special Olympics®" Sports Training Programs

Sports training programs are available for area residents ages 8 - 80 with mental retardation through the Centre County Special Olympics. The opportunity to participate in a sport at no charge is available throughout the year. Competitions at local, state, national, and international levels make sports training an exciting experience. Locally available programs are: Basketball, Bowling, Golf, Power Lifting, Skiing, Swimming, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Bocce. Special Olympics Sports Training Programs are made possible by volunteers sharing their coaching, fund raising, managerial, and people skills. If you would like to join the team as an athlete or volunteer, please call the Special Olympics® Pennsylvania office at (814) 234-8750.
