The CRPR Board adopted the "Child Safety Policy" in 2003 and strengthened the policy in 2007. Nationwide Criminal Background Checks, Social Security Number Verification and Child Abuse Clearances are required for staff & volunteer leaders.

CRPR 2010 Girl’s Softball League - For grades 3 through 12

  • JOIN CRPR FOR THE 38TH YEAR OF GIRL’S SOFTBALL
  • TEAMS MEET ONLY 2 OR 3 TIMES PER WEEK
  • NO WEEKEND GAMES

Develop skills while having a great time and meeting new friends!

The 2010 CRPR Girl’s Softball League will run from mid-April through early June. Teams will play 2 games per week and have a maximum of 1 practice per week during the season. An effort will be made to place girls on teams based on which school they attend. Minimum registrations must be met in order for teams to be formed. Parents are needed to help as volunteer coaches. Games will be played at various parks throughout the Centre Region and the only equipment required is a glove. Each girl and coach will be provided with a team t-shirt. A $5 discount will be provided for registrations processed through March 12; the registration deadline is March 31.

"Special Olympics®" Sports Training Programs

Sports training programs are available for area residents ages 8 - 80 with mental retardation through the Centre County Special Olympics. The opportunity to participate in a sport at no charge is available throughout the year. Competitions at local, state, national, and international levels make sports training an exciting experience. Locally available programs are: Basketball, Bowling, Golf, Power Lifting, Skiing, Swimming, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Bocce. Special Olympics Sports Training Programs are made possible by volunteers sharing their coaching, fund raising, managerial, and people skills.
